About Lunenburg Region

Welcome to Lunenburg Region!

This region has been welcoming visitors since 1879. It is just a short distance from Halifax (Nova Scotia’s thriving capital), and it is surrounded by the municipalities of Queens, Annapolis, Kings, Hants, and Halifax.

Located on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, the Lunenburg Region’s active and evolving communities offer room to breathe – and plenty of room to play!

Arrive By Air

Stanfield International Airport, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, welcomes many international flights daily. Lunenburg Region is approximately an hour’s drive from the airport. Take Highway #102, merging onto Highway #103 at is corresponding exit (exit 1A).

Arrive By Sea

Travel aboard the MV Fundy Rose ferry from Saint John, New Brunswick, arriving in Digby, Nova Scotia approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes after departure. Follow Highway #101 East to Middleton, and then Highway #10 South until you reach Lunenburg Region.

Travel aboard The CAT ferry from Bar Harbor, Maine, arriving in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia approximately 3 and a half hours after departure. Follow Highway #103 East until you reach Lunenburg Region.

Visitor Information
