The Great Lobster Hunt
Lobster here, lobster there, lobster EVERYWHERE! The Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl has Miller Point Peace Park crawling with lobsters, and we need your help to “catch” the critters to unscramble their secret message before the end of February. The lobsters have a letter attached (hint - they look like the one in the picture). Once you have spotted all the letters, unscramble the message, and send it to us at recreation@modl.ca to be entered to win prizes! Need a clue? The message has 4 words and 20 total letters! Please do not remove any lobsters from the park.

Take the Roof Off Winter
We are happy to join Recreation Nova Scotia’s winter active campaign which helps Nova Scotians of all ages improve their health and quality of life by being active during the winter months, with a spin! Come out and enjoy skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, playing in the snow, or sliding – like a LOB-STAR! Then, warm-up around an afternoon bonfire with roasted marshmallows, and a boiling pot of… hot chocolate! Skis, snowshoes, and sleds are available to use free of charge during the program on a first-come, first served basis! Weather permitting.

Some choose to swim for hundreds of kilometers more! Be active like a lobster and join us at River Ridge Common on Heritage Day for an afternoon of games and movement. Weather permitting.
