The century-old General Store that served Blockhouse and community for decades has been revived with an entirely new vision while paying homage to its venerable past.
Inside you will find an unsurpassed array of local organic products and produce, spices and pantry items from around the world, locally grown seeds, fresh store-baked breads and pastries, espresso coffee and delicious meals.
Our bakery is at the heart of our General Store operation with fresh baked goods being prepared daily. Delicious flat breads and sweets to savoury treats from Spiced Turkish breads to our well-loved Dolma Plate all come together upstairs in the space that once housed the Langille family’s kitchen.
There’s plenty of room on Chicory Blue’s front verandah to sit with a coffee in an Adirondack chair and watch the world go by. Or you can eat your lunch in the back garden, surrounded by lush beds of flowers, vegetables, and young fruit trees.
We also do catering and we offer bike rentals as well.
Open Wednesday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm, closed Monday’s & Tuesday’s. Sunday Brunch served from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

Adventure Trail
Location: Lunenburg Region
This 15 km trail runs between the Towns of Mahone Bay and Bridgewater and connects with the Dynamite Trail to the East and the Centennial Trail in the Town of Bridgewater to the West.
Access includes hikers, bicycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles, skies, and horses.

Bay to Bay Trail
Location: Lunenburg Region
A 10 km trail along the “Lunenburg Spur” that connects the Towns of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Also a short 1 km section from the end of the Back Harbour Trail in Lunenburg to Garden Lots.
Access includes hikers, bicycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles, skies, and horses. Parking is available at access points along the trail.
Indian Falls
