Lunenburg County Winery
Lunenburg County Winery (1993) is located on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia. Situated on a drumlin approximately 25 minutes inland from Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, and Bridgewater (Twenty-four kilometers inland from highway 103 at Exit 11 where it lies nestled in the community of Newburne). The winery is located at Hackmatack Farm (1980), a commercial highbush blueberry farm. Take a pleasant drive into the country and visit them, to taste wine, to pick berries, or to have a picnic.
The winery is also by many great tourist locations! It is within a mile or two of several lakes, the LaHave River, great camping at LaHave River Campground, Indian Falls Municipal Park, and the Parkdale-Maplewood Community Museum. Notorious basket maker Heather Sanft is also on-site building living fences, garden sculptures, or quilting.
This location is open daily from 9:00am until 5:00pm during July and August (blueberry season). In June, September, and October, they are open Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am until 5:00pm. November through May, come by chance or call ahead!
