Lunenburg Kayak Rentals & Tours
WELCOME TO LUNENBURG KAYAK RENTALS!
OUR MISSION
We are an eco-tourism company owned and operated by Michael Bastarache. Explorer, artist, poet, musician, storyteller and proud Nova Scotian, Michael had worked in the boat building and lobster fishing industries before establishing Lunenburg Kayak Rentals in 2023. The company was born from a desire to provide locals and visitors alike with a safe, enjoyable and memorable sightseeing experience that has a positive impact on our community. Our goal is to showcase all that Lunenburg County and the Atlantic Ocean have to offer, while remaining dedicated to environmental preservation. We guarantee that your experience with us will be unique and charming, and that our staff will go above and beyond to make that happen. Whether you would like to have a one on one tour or maybe require special needs for your tour or rental, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate. Lunenburg Kayak Rentals is proud to be an inclusive company, all are welcome with or without any paddling experience.
OUR LOCATION
We are located just a four minute drive from the heart of Lunenburg. Our shop is nestled beside the Sunnybrook Mill Market, where a trickling fresh waterfall meets a narrow and protected inlet that leads to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The Sunnybrook Mill Market is open every Saturday and Sunday, so if you’re lucky enough to visit us on the weekend, you’ll be able to check out some crafts or grab some snacks from the wonderful owners Royal & Karen. Surrounding our shop are the most picturesque views of their farm where most of the local products for the market are grown. You might even get a glimpse of the goats wandering around the property. This location was not chosen for convenience, it was hand picked for its beauty and many different options for sightseeing by boat.
