Operating for 30 years, the Lunenburg Farmers’ Market is a vibrant community gathering place. It is very common to see market goers enjoying their morning coffee while chatting with vendors and friends.

They provide a strong, vibrant year-round venue for local vendors. They also showcase local musicians and provide free space to local community groups.

The vendors come from all over and produce a wide range of fabulous products – fresh seasonal produce, grass-fed meats, free-range eggs, fresh and smoked fish, plants, fresh flowers, cheese, French breads, wine, preserves, honey, maple syrup, beautiful artisan items and more. You can visit every Thursday morning of the year. During the months of May-September they are located at the Lunenburg Arena, hours are 8am – 12pm. In September they move inside the Lunenburg Community Centre. In January the hours change to 8:30am – 12:00pm.

‘Love Letters’ by A.R. Gurney. 6th and 7th September at 7:30pm. Mahone Bay Centre, 45 School Street, Mahone Bay. Starring Jon Allen and Kath Perry and directed by Maureen Moffatt. This is an evocative, heart-warming and touching story as the two characters deliver funny and moving excerpts from the notes and letters they sent to each other over their usually affectionate but often distant lives. ‘Deceptively simple and quietly moving’ (NYT). Tickets: $10 cash on the door. Pls arrive by 7:20pm.

Save the date for our fourth annual Touch-a-Truck fundraiser! Get up close and personal with emergency and construction vehicles, cool and unique cars, and a few special and secret guests. This will be our biggest and best year yet!

So much to see and do! Bouncy castles for all ages, face-painting, entertainment, 50/50 draw and a Via Rail trip, plus tons of vehicles including police and fire equipment, boom trucks, tractors, dump trucks, freightliners, 18-wheelers, buses, garbage truck, Jeeps, motorcycles, and more!

Tickets are only $5 or $15/family, and all proceeds go toward mentoring programs for children and youth in Lunenburg and Queens Counties. Don’t miss out on this amazing event!

Rawlins Cross is a band with a fusion of Celtic traditional music with the rhythms of Rock, Pop and Worldbeat music and they will be performing at Bridgewater United Church on October 19th, 7:30pm-10:00pm, promoting their 30th Anniversary “Flying Colours” Tour. The band was formed in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the late 1980s, and they continue to maintain a steady course with their 10th studio recording “Flying Colours.” Tickets are $35. They are a community-based Farmers’ Market venue for local producers to sell directly to their customers. The market is organized and operated by a registered non-profit society, The Bridgewater Farmers’ Market Association.
