Parks
Our winter maintenance schedule for our parks and trails has begun. You are still welcome to visit our spaces from dawn until dusk daily!
The park gates will be closed at Miller Point Peace Park, Indian Falls, Wiles Lake, Mushamush Beach Park, and MARC Ballfields.
During the winter, regular or scheduled maintenance is not provided. Our crew will only focus on essential safety checks. In our open parks, minimal services and critical upkeep can be expected. Please report any unsafe conditions or concerns to parks@modl.ca.
Miller Point Peace Park
Location: Dayspring & Area
Miller Point Peace Park is an ideal place for a leisurely scenic walk or family picnic. You can enjoy views of the LaHave River and Horseshoe Cove along the trails as you walk through the towering pines. In the spring, view hundreds of lady slippers and other flora and fauna along the 5 km of walking trails. In the fall, the changing colors are absolutely beautiful. Risser’s Beach Provincial Park

Rissers Beach Provincial Park is found 24 km south of Bridgewater on the Atlantic Coast in Petite Riviere. Ovens Natural Park

A seasonal privately owned 190-acre pristine reserve of coastal forestry. Admission Charged. Indian Falls
Location: Lunenburg Region
In 2004, to commemorate the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg’s 125th anniversary, Indian Falls was designated as a Municipal Park. Known for having some of the area’s best fishing, Indian Falls also offers a picnic area, on-site privies, walking trails, rock beach and look off points.
